Pope Francis held a simple but very important speech for mankind. He spoke of simplicity, humility, forgiveness, and God. He called for forgiveness on behalf of the Church for the discrimination of Roma communities over time, but also for other persecuted people for their faith.

The importance of the event was given by the ceremony of beatification of the seven Greek Catholic martyrs: Ioan Balan, Ioan Suciu, Tit Liviu Chinezu, Alexandru Rusu, ValeriuTraian Frentiu, Vasile Aftenie and Iuliu Hossu. Their relatives sat in the first ceremonial row.
