Romania's anti-corruption fight in IndieFrame photos from May 12th

by Ioan Pupila 1 year ago

Though the number of protesters decreased since February 2017 - largest demo after country's anti-communist Revolution, gathering 500K in the streets - the #Rezist anti-corruption citizen movement gathered few thousands in Bucharest and Timisoara this Saturday, 12.05.2018. Same resolutions as last year are being demanded, which - in protestor's perspective - means not much has been changed. In their opinion, the majority Government coalition PSD-ALDE is to blame for most corruption issues in the country, seting country's course against EU values and trying to modify Justice Laws to their benefits. IndieFrame reporters have been in both capital city Bucharest and Timisoara and uploaded photos on the topic:Protestors show passengers cardboard handcuffs with national flag at Buchare
