Riot police abuses caught on camera after Romania's penal code changes [videos]

Macedonia changes its name to end 27-year territorial dispute with Greece

June, 12th, 2018 -The government of Macedonia has struck an agreement with Greece to change the country’s name, bringing an end to a long-running dispute between the two nations. Greece objects that the "Republic of Macedonia" implies a claim to the whole geographic region of Macedonia, of which more than half is part of Greek territory.As a result of Greece’s objections, Macedonia was only admitted to the UN under the provisional name of FYROM - theFormer Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia - after it gained its independence in 1991 from the break-up of ex-Yugoslavia. The country name 'Macedonia' was also shared by the ancient Greek kingdom ruled by Alexander of Macedon.
